Holiday Schedules

The City of Riverside is separated into two different service areas. La Sierra, University, and Orangecrest are serviced by Burrtec Waste. The remaining areas of the city are serviced by the City of Riverside.

If you are unsure of who provides your trash collection service, please contact the City of Riverside(dial 311).

* Trash will NOT be collected on the following holidays:

Christmas Tree Collection

(Starts the day after Christmas and continues for three weeks)

• Collection will take place with your normal trash pick up.
• Remove the stand, ornaments and all decorations.
• Cut your Christmas tree into 4 foot sections.
  • Regular - Christmas Trees will be collected with your green waste. Place your tree in your green waste can. If your tree will not fit in the green waste can, place it on the curb and it will be picked up on your regular trash day.
  • Flocked - Christmas Trees will be collected with your regular trash. Place sections of flocked trees inside the brown waste can.
