Bank robbery
Riverside, Ca- Riverside Police Department is investigating a bank robbery of the Provident Bank branch at Van Buren
Boulevard and Trautwein Road, reported at 12:32 p.m., Monday, July 3.
According to the initial investigation, a lone male suspect entered the bank and waited in line for a teller. When he stepped
up to the teller window, he presented a handwritten note demanding cash. There was no threat made or implied and no apparent
weapon involved or implied. The teller complied and the robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash from one teller
window cash drawer. No other customers were in the bank branch at the time the robbery occurred.
The suspect is described as an adult black male, around 40 years old, 5’3”, 160 pounds, unshaven, last seen wearing a dark blue
shirt, blue jeans, a dark green baseball-style cap. He was last seen crossing the bank parking lot.
