Chief Russ Leach Announces Promotion

Riverside, Ca-  Chief Russ Leach is pleased to announce the promotion of Officer William Crutchfield to the rank of Detective.

Detective William Crutchfield began his law enforcement career with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Custody Division. In 1989, Crutchfield became a Police Officer with the Riverside Police Department. He has served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Police and Corrections Team Officer (P.A.C.T.), Special Investigation Bureau West County Narcotics Officer and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team. Crutchfield most recently was assigned to the Family Services Bureau as a School Resource Officer. He is a member of the Sniper Team.

Detective William Crutchfield will assume his duties on July 30, 2004.
